Job Summary
Responsible for the implementation of tree planting programs and community outreach related to urban forestry in the City of Ottawa. Through the City’s tree planting programs, the incumbent plans and implements tree planting along streets, in parks and at City facilities, administers tree planting grant programs and implements planting strategies according to established guidelines. The incumbent reviews and comments on site plans and provides effective recommendations for appropriate species and locations to minimize operational impacts and ensure sustainability of projects. The incumbent supervises
consulting and contracted services, leads teams on a project basis, and contributes to ongoing service delivery and service improvement initiatives in the branch.
