The City of Montreal's Environmental Services Division in collaboration with the University of Montreal's l'Institut de Recherche en Biologie Végétale (IRBV) will be presenting a 1 hour talk with Dr. Krista Ryall The emerald ash borer: biology, impacts, and biological control program  on Friday April 13th at 11h00 at the IRBV's Biodiversity Centre at the Montreal Botanical Garden. The conference series is introduced on a French platform but Dr. Ryall's talk will be presented in English and available remotely via live webinar as well.


Dr Ryall is a researcher for the Canadian Forest Service of Natural Resources Canada. She is the top researcher in Canada coordinating the national effort in the biological control of emerald ash borer. Her talk will provide us with an update on EAB management using bio-control measures in Canada as well as a brief overview of what's going on in Montreal.

La série des webinaires est montée en français, mais la conférence de la Dre Ryall sera présentée en anglais. L'affiche de la conférence est attachée en pièce-jointe de ce courriel.

Dr Ryall est entomologiste et travaille pour le Service Canadien des Forêts du ministère de Ressources Naturelles Canada. Elle est la chercheuse principale au Canada qui coordonne le programme de lutte biologique classique à l'agrile du frêne. Sa conférence fera le point sur les efforts déployés au Canada pour contrôler l'agrile du frêne en forêts à l'aide d'ennemis naturels et l'état de la situation à Montréal.

La conférence est gratuite et sera donnée en anglais.
