Dear Friends,

On August 19, 2009, I hosted a public consultation on Ontario's long-term
affordable housing strategy. Over 100 community stakeholders gathered to
discuss the development of a long-term affordable housing strategy for
Ontario - a true testament to the importance of this issue in our community!

I want to thank those of you who attended for your thoughtful and articulate
ideas and suggestions. I am proud to present this report that summarizes the
knowledge, vision and creativity of our community. 

I also want to assure you that our work does not stop here. Our government
is continuing to consult with Ontarians in the development of a long-term
affordable housing strategy. If you were unable to attend our consultation,
or have additional feedback to submit, please visit
www.ontario.ca/housingstrategy. 

By working together, we can create a common vision for affordable housing
that will respond effectively to the needs of all Ontarians. Thank you again
for your partnership in this important exercise!
