Notice of Minimum Wage Advisory Panel Consultations

As you may know, the Ontario government has established the Minimum Wage
Advisory Panel to provide advice on how to adjust Ontario's minimum wage.

The Chair of the Panel - with the support of Panel members representing
business and worker groups and youth - will report back to the government
with recommendations. The work of the Panel is now underway.

A consultation paper is available on the Ministry of Labour website along
with further information about the Minimum Wage Advisory Panel:
www.ontario.ca/minimumwagereview.

The Panel would like to hear from you on this important issue. We invite you
to respond to the questions in the consultation paper, or submit comments
electronically through the online feedback form.

You may also send submissions by email (minimumwage at ontario.ca), fax or
regular mail, as outlined at the end of the consultation paper. Responses to
the consultation paper are requested by October 18, 2013.

The Panel will also be engaging in regional consultations in the fall. The
first consultation sessions will be held on:

. September 6 (Toronto); and

. September 20 (Mississauga)

Further details of these consultations, including locations and times, as
well as additional sessions across Ontario, will be provided when available.
Please continue to check the website for updates to present to the panel.

Thank you for your interest and participation in the review.

Anil Verma

Chair, Minimum Wage Advisory Panel
