[Housing First Webinar-ENG]

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is hosting a series of free quarterly webinars on Housing First in the context of its Training and Technical Assistance program.

Our next Housing First webinar, on Tuesday, March 10, will feature the guest speaker Brian Dean Williams, MHCC Housing First Regional Trainer.

Based on the experience of At Home/Chez Soi and other Housing First programs, we know that trauma is a central feature of people coming out of homelessness. This webinar will guide participants in understanding the effects and responses to trauma, and the importance of working with a trauma-informed approach in all interactions with Housing First participants.

[Housing First Webinar-FR]

La Commission de la santé mentale du Canada diffuse une série de webinaires trimestriels gratuits sur l’approche Logement d’abord dans le cadre de son programme de formation et d’assistance technique.

Le prochain webinaire aura lieu le 10 mars. L'orateur sera Brian Dean Williams, formateur régional sur l’approche Logement d’abord rattaché à la Commission.

Le projet Chez Soi et d’autres programmes mettant en œuvre l’approche Logement d’abord nous enseignent que les traumatismes sont un élément central de l’émergence d’une situation d’itinérance. Ce webinaire aidera les participants à comprendre les effets des traumatismes et les réactions des victimes ainsi que l’importance d’adopter une approche tenant compte des traumatismes dans toutes les interventions auprès de participants à un programme Logement d’abord.
