Violence Against Women – It’s a Men’s Issue

Join us for our upcoming Speaker Series event, Violence Against Women – It’s a Men’s Issue, presented by Crime Prevention Ottawa in partnership with the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women.

About the session
Violence Against Women – It’s a Men’s Issue aims to encourage men to become allies in the effort to end violence against women. Our panel will explore what men are doing, what seems to be working, and what more can be done.

The panel of speakers will touch on questions including:

  *   How can men support each other to do this work?
  *   What can men who are already engaged in this work (professionally, as a parent, friend, or partner) do to grow as an ally?
  *   What kind of questions do we need to ask ourselves in order to effectively act as allies to women experiencing violence?

Joignez-vous à nous pour notre Série de conférences, « La violence faite aux femmes, une affaire d’homme », présentée par Prévention du crime Ottawa, en collaboration avec la Coalition d’Ottawa contre la violence faite aux femmes.

Information sur la séance
« La violence faite aux femmes, une affaire d’homme » est un événement qui vise à chercher des alliés chez les hommes pour mettre fin à la violence faite aux femmes. Cette table ronde permet aux hommes de découvrir ce que nous faisons, ce qui semble fonctionner, et ce que nous pouvons faire de plus.

Les conférenciers aborderont les questions suivantes :

  *   Comment les hommes peuvent-ils s’entraider pour faire ce travail?
  *   Que peuvent faire les hommes qui sont déjà engagés dans ce travail (professionnellement, ou en tant que parents, amis ou partenaires) pour devenir de meilleurs alliés?
  *   Quels types de questions devons-nous nous poser pour être des alliés efficaces pour les femmes victimes de violence?
