COMMUNIQUE
Ottawa’s new gang exit service launches

Time for Change (T4C), Ottawa’s gang exit service, is an initiative dedicated to male and female young adults, adults and their families who are impacted by gang involvement. Using a case management approach, services will be tailored to each person’s specific needs. They include:

  *   Education & Training
  *   Employment
  *   Safety & Stability
  *   Housing
  *   Counselling & Health Services
  *   Family Reunification
  *   Community Engagement
  *   Mentorship


T4C will be offered by the John Howard Society and the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO). Temps pour le changement est une initiative s’adressant aux jeunes adultes, aux adultes et à leurs familles qui sont touchés par la participation à des bandes criminelles. Cette initiative utilise un modèle de traitement de cas intensif et fournit un soutien et des services spécifiques :

  *   Éducation et formation
  *   Emploi
  *   Sécurité et stabilité
  *   Logement
  *   Services de counseling et de santé
  *   Réunification familiale
  *   Mobilisation de la collectivité
  *   Mentorat
