For your information, a  special air quality statement has been issued for Ottawa this evening due to smoke that is causing poor air quality and reducing visibility.   The statement issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) for Ottawa is as follows:

  *   Smoke is expected or occurring. High levels of air pollution due to smoke from ongoing forest fires are possible.
  *   Smoke from active forest fires in northwestern Ontario has moved over southern Ontario.
  *   Elevated particulate matter levels and hazy conditions have been reported at several stations. Reduced visibilities and deteriorating air quality are possible if the smoke descends to ground level.
  *   Conditions are expected to improve Tuesday with the passage of a cold front.
At the time of this email the AQHI reading in Ottawa measured 4 on a scale of 10+

Pour votre information, un bulletin spéciale sur la qualité de l'air a été émise pour Ottawa ce soir en raison de la fumée qui rend la qualité de l'air mauvaise et réduit la visibilité.

La déclaration publiée par Environnement et Changement climatique Canada (ECCC) pour Ottawa est la suivante :

  *   La fumée rend la qualité de l'air mauvaise et réduit la visibilité. On prévoit ou observe déjà la présence de fumée.
  *   Des niveaux élevés de pollution de l'air sont possibles en raison des feux de forêt en activité.
  *   La fumée provenant des feux de forêt actifs dans le nord-ouest de l'Ontario a envahi le sud de l'Ontario. Des niveaux élevés de matières particulaires et de la brume sèche ont été signalés à plusieurs stations. La visibilité et la qualité de l'air pourraient être réduites si la fumée descend au niveau du sol.
  *   Les conditions devraient s'améliorer mardi au passage d'un front froid.;
