EARTH DAY APRIL 22, 2006

 

If you are planning an Earth Day activity please take a moment to register
your event at www.earthday.ca <http://www.earthday.ca/> .  This allows
others to find out what is going on in their area and it shows the rest of
Canada just how active we are here in Nova Scotia.  Earth Day posters will
be available for pick up at 126 Portland Street.  Call 424-4252 if you would
like us to set any aside for your event.  Supplies are limited!

 

Looking for an activity in Dartmouth?

Clean Nova Scotia will be launching their Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up
program on April 22nd with a public cleanup.  The cleanup will take place at
Maynard Lake in Dartmouth, just off of Portland Street and Lakefront Road.
The lake is a very short drive/bike ride from downtown Dartmouth and Clean
Nova Scotia is looking for volunteers to help hand out garbage bags, data
cards and special prizes.  The cleanup will start at 11am and finish at 2pm.
If you would like to volunteer or need more information, please call Kari at
424-4252.   If you can't make it to Maynard Lake, please feel welcome to
register your own cleanup by calling 420-3474 or go to www.clean.ns.ca

Remember, it is also EARTH MONTH so don't feel you have to limit your
