COLOMBIAN VICTIMS OF OUR ENERGY POLICIES ASK FOR OUR HELP

The people of La Guajira, Colombia suffer respiratory, eye and skin
ailments caused by dry soil and coal dust.

NB Power and other power plants in Canada and the U.S. are major
importers of Colombian coal. On Oct. 31, 2006, a medical delegation from
eastern Canada will go to La Guajira to assess community health needs and
to deliver desperately needed medical supplies. They will be bringing
duffel bags filled with medical supplies.

PLEASE DONATE ANY OF THESE MEDICAL SUPPLIES:

* Visine or saline eye drops
* Vitamins
* Inhalers for asthma
* Pain killers (tylenol ibuprofen, aspirin)
* Ranitidine (zantac)
* Bandages/gauze
* Medical tape
* Polysporin ointment (or similar)
* Anti-parasitic medicine
