Position: New Brunswick Organic Farm Apprenticeship Program 
Location: New Brunswick, Canada

Now accepting 2007 apprentice applications.
Deadline: January 19, 2007.

The NB Organic Farm Apprenticeship Program is a six
month (May to October) on-farm training program for the 
next generation of organic farmers. It is a unique, leading-
edge program that combines the experience of established 
organic farmers, support of the organic sector resource 
network, and the energy of emerging organic farmers.

Program Highlights:

- Daily field mentorship for live-in apprentices over a 
6-month season
- Farming Organically Workshop Series each month at 
participating farms (tours, organic lunch, guest speakers, 
hands-on activities)
- Resources, readings, journaling and short assignments 
to augment hands-on learning
- Optional mid-season farm exchanges
- Numerous opportunities for networking and meeting 
the faces of Atlantic Canada's organic sector
- On-farm research projects designed and implemented 
by farmers and apprentices, supported by the Organic 
Agriculture Centre of Canada and NB Department of 
Agriculture Organic Specialist
- NBCC college credit for successful program completion
- Open to all ages, all levels of experience with preference 
to apprentice applicants from Atlantic Canada

your head in the books? Organic farm apprentices get the 
real dirt on what it takes to make the farm viable, but it 
requires a dedication to learning through hard work with
