  Public Lecture: The Environment  and Cancer: It's about Prevention. 
It's About Time!

The Environment and Cancer: It's about Prevention. It's About Time! 
will be the subject of a talk by author Guy Dauncey. Dauncey is author 
of the just released book, Cancer: 101 Solutions to a Preventable 
Epidemic. He will discuss increasing evidence that rising rates of 
cancer are linked to chemicals found in everyday products, including 
cosmetics, furniture and pesticides, and what can be done.
Dauncey also co-chairs Prevent Cancer Now, and will also discuss the 
momentum arising from the May 2007 national conference to build a 
cross-Canada movement focused on cancer prevention.
The talk will take place on Monday, June 11 at 7pm at the IWK Health 
Centre Auditorium, 5850 University Avenue. The event is sponsored by 
Breast Cancer Action Nova Scotia and the Environmental Health 
Association of Nova Scotia. The public is welcome. Free admission.  No 
scents please.
