Rad Movie Night at the Mount

Special Screening of two very powerful movies about women in Afghanistan.
Tuesday, September 18th @ Mount Saint Vincent

"View from a Grain of Sand"
Follow the lives of three women living on the outskirts of Afghanistan as
they consider returning home after years of living in refugee camps. This
movie also provides an overview of life in Afghanistan during the last
thirty years of turmoil.

"Enemies of Happiness"
Follow Malalai Joya in her attempt to be elected in the first elections
since the US-led invasion of 2001. A fiery young woman speaking truth to
power evades assassination attempts and does what she can for the people she
seeks to represent.

*Movies start at 7pm*

The movies are free. There will bake sale organized and in support of the B.
Ed. Society.
This event is organized as part of NSPIRG's Rad Frosh events, MSVU B. Ed.
Society, and Halifax Peace Coalition.
