A special opportunity to volunteer at the Atlantic Blues and Beyond
Festival at Alderney Landing has arisen.

We would like to invite you to take part as it is an opportunity to help
ensure this large event remains 'green'. You will be asked to simply
help festival participants to properly separate at the source. You will
also be asked to help in removing and replacing bags in bins.

The festival runs from September 19-21st at the Alderney Landing
waterfront stage (Dartmouth).

We are looking for 5 people per shift. Please note that if you are under
19, you can only do the earlier shifts from 3-7pm.

The schedule runs:

Friday 19th: 7pm -11pm

Saturday 20th: 3pm -7pm, 7pm -11pm

Sunday 21st: 3pm - 7pm, 7pm -11pm

You need to come a half hour early to get a quick training session on
what you need to tell participants when they approach the bins. We want
to make sure that participants are recycling and composting correctly
and that waste materials are not thrown to the ground or into the
harbour.

If you volunteer for this Green Team you will receive the following
benefits:

*	One-day pass to the festival (a day other than your shift).

*	A t-shirt recognizing that you are a part of the Green Team

*	A reusable aluminium water bottle from Clean Nova Scotia

If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please contact Kari
at 420-7927 or email riddell at clean.ns.ca and be sure to indicate which
shift you are able to fill. You are welcome to tell friends and family
about this opportunity as long as they are reliable, good with people
and meet the age requirement for the late shifts.

Volunteering will help us avoid the environmental blues...
