Saturday, October 25th:
Join emerging indigenous musicians from Atlantic Canada and Botswana for a
musical evening of: hip hop, drum dancing, African kwasa-kwasa, kwaito,
kalimba, folk and more. This one time opportunity, showcasing 6 artists from
2 continents can be experienced at the North Street Church (5657 North
Street) during this year's Atlantic Canada 'First Voices' tour.
Come and enjoy the music of the present, inspired by the past, from the
voice of tomorrow. Doors open at 8PM with a suggested donation of $6. The
event will also include the screening of a short film, and an art exhibit.
