Position: Bilingual Project Assistant - Renewable Energy Hub Project

Location: Sackville, New Brunswick



Start date: September 28, 2010 through Feburary 14, 2011, 20 weeks

Deadline for applications: September 15, 2010

Wage: $15.00 per hour

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend work required



The Cape Jourimain Nature Centre is looking for a bilingual project assistant for our Renewable Energy Hub project (renewablesnb.ca). The Candidate must that possesses good communication and teamwork skills. He/she will have an interest in renewable energy technology and energy conservation. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, highly motivated and flexible.



Main Duties: Seek-out and interview people using green technology and input/recording data into a web base data bank. Updating existing case studies. Assist in promoting the Renewable web site.



Level of education required: recent graduate (undergraduate or master's level).



Area of studies: environmental technology, engineering, environmental studies/science, biology, geography, and education.



Experience: some experience in communicating with the public (public speaking, giving presentations); experience with renewable energy an asset.



Skills: Must have an outgoing personality, computer skills, (Word, Power Point, Excel, Internet); able to work well in both official languages; leadership skills; teamwork.



Must be willing to travel and work within southern New Brunswick.
