Un atelier de permaculture à Cocagne pour acueillir le  printemps

Un atelier de permaculture aura lieu le dimanche 21 mars à 13h00-17h00 à
l’École Blanche Bourgeois de Cocagne (Route 535) avec M. Alex Denicola.
Celui-ci opère la ferme  <http://www.novascotiapermaculture.net/> Highland
en Nouvelle Écosse  depuis 1991 où il a mis en essai diverses techniques
d’agriculture écologique et de permaculture. Selon David Holmgren, un des
co-originateurs du concept, la permaculture ou «agriculture permanente» est
une discipline d’aménagement paysagiste qui s’inspire des relations et des
structures de la nature pour produire de la nourriture, des fibres et de
l’énergie en vue d’accroitre l’autosuffisance à l’échelle locale.

Le tout débutera avec une présentation des principes de base de la
permaculture. La discussion portera ensuite sur le projet d’aménagement des
«Jardins de biodiversité» de la cour d’école. Une marche sur la cour de
l’école nous permettra de visualiser les concepts tout en refaisant le plein
d’énergie du corps et de l’esprit. Les participants seront invités à
commenter sur la première ébauche de la carte d’aménagement du terrain dans
une perspective de permaculture. 

M. Denicola est également disponible pour des consultations privées le lundi
22 mars à un taux horaire.

A permaculture workshop in Cocagne to welcome Spring

 

A permaculture workshop will take place at the Blanche-Bourgeois school of
Cocagne (Route 535) on Sunday March 21st at 1:00-  5:00pm with Mr. Alex
Denicola. Operator of Highland farm in Nova Scotia, Mr. Denicola has been
experimenting in permaculture and ecological gardening since 1991. According
to David Holmgren, one of the concept’s originators, permaculture (or
permanent agriculture) is “Consciously designed landscapes which mimic the
patterns and relationships found in nature, while yielding an abundance of
food, fibre and energy for provision of local needs.”

 

The presentation will begin with an overview of the basic principles of
permaculture. Afterwards, the group will explore the application of these to
the school’s biodiversity garden project, as a management example. A walk
about the school grounds will allow us to visualize the concepts and
reenergize our body and mind. Participants will be invited to comment on the
first draft of the garden’s layout  with a permaculture perspective. 

 

Mr. Denicola is also available for private consultations(for an hourly based
fee) on Monday March 22nd
