The Friends of McNabs Island Society is looking for two students to be 
island interpreters and tour guides on the island this summer. Please 
circulate to students who might be interested in this unique opportunity.

Requirements:This position is being advertised in anticipation of funding 
under the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) initiative. To be eligible for this 
position, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age on the start date of 
the job. You also must have been a full-time student during the previous 
academic year and be intending to return to full-time studies in the next 
academic year. You also must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or 
a refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full Time, Day
Salary: $11.00 to $13.00 Hourly for 35 hours per week for ten weeks
Anticipated Start Date: 2010/06/14
Location: McNabs Island, Halifax, Nova Scotia (2 vacancies )

Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Some 
university
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Other Information:Students will provide guide services to visitors, conduct 
a visitor survey, carry out island maintenance activities and organize 
events on McNabs Island. Must be willing to work weekends.
