The Town of Bridgewater is seeking an Active Transportation Project
Coordinator for a part-time, paid, term position (8 months).  The
Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing the Town of
Bridgewater's "Workplace Travel Planning" (WTP) project which seeks to
partner with local workplaces, and assist them in:

- increasing participation in active (eg. walking and cycling) means of
commuting to and from work among employees, and;
- identifying strategic improvements to Town of Bridgewater street
infrastructures in order to improve active transportation conditions for all
users.

This is a flexible position and the AT Project Coordinator will be expected
to work primarily from home or a private office, using his/her own computer
and phone + internet connection. 

The ideal candidate for this position possesses:

- An educational background in Environmental Studies, Community Development,
Recreation, Planning, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or
other field related to this project;
- Previous experience conducting consultations and/or interviews is
considered a strong asset;
- Previous experience managing a project, program or campaign;
- Interest in active transportation, health and/or the environment;
- Familiarity with the Bridgewater business community is considered an
asset;
- The ability to work independently, solve problems, and meet deadlines
under pressure;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills;
- A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
