*AN EVENING WITH DUNE LANKARD*
Presented by Ground Control Artist Rep & Autopoetic Ideas Festival

*HALIFAX, NS, Oct. 23, 2010 / Ondaatje Auditorium / 7:00 p.m  *
Dune Lankard was a commercial fisherman in Prince William Sound until March
24, 1989 when the Exxon Valdez spilled more than 30 million gallons of oil
into the Sound. On that day, he became an activist and social entrepreneur,
dedicating his life to the protection of human rights and the environment.
For his work, he was selected by Time magazine as one of its "Heroes of the
Planet"
This is a timely presentation by an engaging and inspiring speaker.  Dune
will be exploring the following topics:  Why conservation based economies
are the future.   Lessons and unresolved long-term impacts of the Exxon
Valdez disaster.  Teaching of effective models of change to empower people
to positively influence their local economy, protect endangered homelands
and provide real solutions for energy and pollution challenges.
