Job Description
The NB Strategic Plan Coordinator will provide support to ACORN staff with a variety of tasks related to the promotion of organic food and agriculture in the province. This support will primarily be related to the implementation of ACORN's New Brunswick project, titled: Strategic Provincial Market Access Development and Implementation for Organic Products.
Specific tasks will include:
Event coordination -- assisting with planning and promotion of both farmer and consumer focused events
Communications -- web updating, blogging, article research and development
Resource Development -- assisting with the production of materials geared to building connections in the local organic sector
Qualifications
Strong interest in organic food and agriculture
Good written and oral communication skills
Excellent written/spoken English is essential; French would be considered an asset
Experience with Macs and/or graphic design would be considered an asset
Must be a full-time student in the current academic year entering or resuming post-secondary studies in September
Job details
35 hours/week at $11.00/hour for an 8-week contract. Start date negotiable. The successful candidate will work out of ACORN's office in Sackville, NB.
