Annapolis Valley YNC:
Saturday March 24th, 10:30am. As Young naturalists, we spend a lot of
time in the woods and outdoors. Please join Chris Crandall from Valley
Search and Rescue as he teaches us what to do if we are ever lost in the woods. There will be a video, hands on demonstrations, search vehicles
and a trained search dog demonstration. KC Irving

Halifax YNC:
Sunday March 25th, 1:00pm - Geocaching! Come helps us try out our new GPS units as we learn the basics of geocaching. Location to be announced. You must pre-register for this field trip by contacting Robin at yncncs at yahoo.ca.

Saturday March 3,9:00-12:00pm -Soil and Plants - Gardening is a great outdoor activity that families can do together right in
their own back yard. It helps develop a connection to food and gives you more control over where it comes from. Gardening can affect our own health and the future or our environment. This month Carey Ewert is going to talk about the benefits of gardening and how to get started gardening from buying seeds, soil testing, choosing a site, compost and mulches, the benefit of bees, and starting plants from

South Shore YNC:
Saturday March 24th, 1:00pm -The Ribbon Snake and other Species at Risk - Brad Toms from the MRTI is coming to talk about the endangered ribbon snake and other species at risk in the area.
