Enjoy an outside film screened on the side of a giant red barn at Windhorse
Farm. Arrive early for guided forest walks and a farm supper.
Saturday June 23rd, Symphony of the Soil.
Helping Nature Heal will host Symphony of the Soil, a 103-minute documentary
that explores the complexity and mystery of soil. Filmed on four continents
and sharing the voices of some of the world's most esteemed soil scientists,
farmers and activists, the film portrays soil as a protagonist of our
planetary story. Bring your own Lawn Chair or Blanket.
Saturday afternoon Wayne Bruhm of Windhorse Farm and Rosmarie Lohnes of
Helping Nature Heal will guide us over the Windhorse terrain introducing
different soil types in our ancient forest and organic gardens. After a
dosage of fresh air relax in the sauna and feed your appetite with a farm
supper made from local and seasonal ingredients grown of course from organic
soil without the chemical fertilizers. Turn the weekend into a country
retreat by staying the night in Sunshine House or in one of our off-grid
forest cabins.
