September 14, 15: Women-only.

REGISTER NOW. Basics of safe operation and maintenance of a chainsaw, 
through bucking and limbing to directional felling. Look after your 
own firewood needs, and learn how to tackle fallen trees, landscaping 
or woodlot tasks. Small class with certified instructor Patrick Allan 
assures plenty of hands-on opportunity to become comfortable using a 
chainsaw.

Bring your own steel-toed boots (and your own saw if you wish). All 
other safety equipment can be provided. $250 covers tuition, meals 
and snacks, shared cabin (bring sleeping bag or request bedding). If 
easier, arrive Friday evening for additional $25. (Program is not 
government-subsidized.)

To register, mail a cheque or money order for full amount made out to 
the Harrison Lewis Centre and send to RR 1 Port Joli, N.S., B0T 1S0. 
Include name, address, phone number and email address. Let us know 
about any dietary restrictions.
