Hi Everyone!

The Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute will be holding another
Introduction to Sustainable Woodlot Management Workshop!

'Have a woodlot and don't know where to start?'
'Thinking of owning a woodlot in the future?'
'Want to start learning more about forest ecology and management?'

This introductory workshop will provide a beginners overview of:
Tree identification
Jargon and language of forest management
Acadian Forest restoration
Species at Risk and invasive and alien species
Forest Certification
Tree marking and selection
Forest Ecosystem Classification
Management Plans
Different woodland values: recreation, medicinals, food,mushrooms, health...
and a demo of a few different harvesting tools!

Where: The Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute and a local woodlot
When: Saturday April 13th and Sunday April 14th, 9am-5pm
Cost: $40 for the weekend (includes snacks and lunch)
