Position: Wetland Education Facilitator

Description

Falls Brook Centre has an opening for a highly motivated, self-directed person to work as part of the Education Team. We are looking for someone who has excellent facilitation and classroom management skills able and excited to teach about the importance of wetlands to local grade 4 students.

Responsibilities
• Welcoming school groups to Falls Brook Centre
• Facilitating the Project Webfoot education program on the FBC site
• Preparing materials for the field trips
• Communicating with teachers in preparation and follow up to field trips
• Preparing and maintaining the site for field trips
• Assist the Education Manager with other
• Other task associated with Project Webfoot and the Education
• Assisting with garden creation
• Assisting with wetland restoration

Skills
• Knowledge of wetland ecosystems
• Excellent Communication Skills (written and oral)
• Facilitation experience (workshops, classroom activities, community events)
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, social media, Wordpress)
• Bilingualism (English/French)
