Employment Opportunity for Residential Energy Adviser
NB Powers Home Insulation Energy Savings Program
Bilingualism is a requirement.
Previous work with energy evaluations or construction
Rate of Pay: $15.00/hr + travel allowance
Hours: Flexible work schedule (including days, weekends and evenings) based on work demands.
Location: Bathurst, Campbellton, Edmunston
Training & Equipment will be provided
We are currently seeking an outgoing, energetic and dynamic individual to join our team as a
Residential Energy Adviser (EA) for the NB Power Home Insulation Energy Savings Program (HIESP).
Job Responsibilities:
Have a friendly and professional manner and appearance; comfortable with entering residential homes
Hot2000 software will not be used. The EA will NOT be responsible for report generation.
Be comfortable with the installation of various products such as LED light bulbs and water conservation device (full training provided)
Sales experience is a plus
Educate customers about product use, energy efficiency and conservation
Inventory Management
Commit to fulfilling fluctuating work demands
Occasional long distance travel (travel allowance)
Promote the program at local events, by phone, door-to-door to generate additional business
Digital data collection on site using a mobile device
Report to manager on weekly phone call
Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols
Qualifications/Job Requirements:
Must have a reliable vehicle
Knowledge of building science a strong asset
Works independently, shows initiative, good with solving problems and geometry calculations
Detail-oriented, punctual, conscientious, reliable and able to work independently
Must be physically able to lift blower door and other equipment
Able to schedule appointments, track inventory, and speak knowledgeably to customers about energy
Able to bend, lift, and raise arms above shoulders & install items above head
Respected and knowledgeable member of your community
High school graduate minimum
Must have a clean criminal record (background checks may be performed)
