Hike NS Winter Guided Walk Series 2022

Hike Nova Scotia and 18 host organizations offer the 2022 Winter Guided
Walk Series from January to March across NS. There are 45 walks led by
local folks and participants qualify to win trail prizes. All of these free
or low-cost walk or snowshoe events require pre-registration and will
follow public health protocols, including physical distancing. Hike NS
thanks its partners on the ground for organizing the walks as well as The
Trail Shop, Goose Lane Editions, the Heartland Tour and the NS Department
of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage for their support. Find

Intro to Snowshoeing Webinar: Jan. 26

Taking place on January 26 at 7 pm, Hike Nova Scotia’s Intro to Snowshoeing
webinar is geared for those new to snowshoeing as well as experienced folks
looking for a refresher. It will include snowshoeing benefits, etiquette,
choosing the right snowshoes, essential gear and safety. The presenter is
Josh Stanhope of The Trail Shop. The webinar is offered in partnership with
The Trail Shop and the NS Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and
Heritage. The cost is $20 (free for Hike NS paid members). Non-members
receive a free one-year individual membership. Learn more and register at
