The Heat Warning is still in effect for Ottawa and we are now considered to be in an extended heat warning as this is day 3 of the heat wave that started on August 9, 2016.  Ottawa Public Health would like to remind service providers to groups at risk to be extra vigilant  and adapt programming to ensure client safety during the heat.  Resources on preventing heat related illnesses are attached for your information and distribution to clients. L'avertissement de chaleur extrême, émis le 9 août 2016, est toujours en vigueur pour Ottawa et ce, pour une troisième journée consécutive. Santé publique d'Ottawa désire rappeler aux fournisseurs de services auprès des populations à risque d'être extrêmement vigilants et d'adapter leur programmation de façon à assurer la sécurité de leurs clients durant cette canicule qui perdure.
