Appels de demandes au nouveau Fonds d’urgence pour l’appui communautaire, de 350 M$

Le 19 mai 2020, la Croix-Rouge canadienne<https://www.croixrouge.ca/?lang=fr-CA&_ga=2.218746841.1587378058.1590004774-748229397.1587561761>, Fondations communautaires du Canada<https://www.communityfoundations.ca/fr/initiatives/fonds-durgence/> et Centraide United Way Canada<https://www.centraide.ca/updates/> ont lancé des appels pour déposer des demandes au nouveau Fonds d’urgence pour l’appui communautaire (FUAC). Le Fonds est un nouvel investissement de 350 M$ du gouvernement du Canada en vue d’aider les organismes de bienfaisance et les OBNL desservant des populations vulnérables qui sont touchées de façon disproportionnée par la COVID-19. Les organismes communautaires peuvent déposer une demande à compter maintenant. Vous trouverez une fiche d’information contenant davantage d’information en pièce jointe.

Le financement, qui a été annoncé initialement le 21 avril 2020 par le gouvernement du Canada, est un coup de pouce bien nécessaire aux organismes communautaires qui ont vu exploser la demande de services depuis le début de la pandémie.

Un appel de propositions du laboratoire d'innovation sociale en matière d'itinérance chez les jeunes de Changer de Direction

Le laboratoire d'innovation sociale en matière d'itinérance chez les jeunes de Changer de Direction a publié un appel de propositions portant sur les impacts de la COVID-19 sur la prévention de l'itinérance chez les jeunes. Les projets proposés devront générer des connaissances pour éclaircir leur réponse actuelle à la pandémie, à la phase de rétablissement et à leur future réponse à l'itinérance chez les jeunes, en particulier sur la nécessité de passer à la prévention. La date limite pour soumettre une proposition est le 25 mai à 12h HAE. Applications open for new $350 Million Emergency Community Support Fund

On May 19, 2020, the Canadian Red Cross<https://www.redcross.ca/>, Community Foundations of Canada<https://www.communityfoundations.ca/initiatives/responding-to-covid-19/> and United Way Centraide Canada<http://www.unitedway.ca/updates/> launched calls for applications for the new Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF). The Fund is a new $350 million investment by the Government of Canada to support charities and non-profit organizations serving vulnerable populations who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Community organizations can apply now. A fact sheet with more information is attached to this email.

The funding, which was initially announced on April 21, 2020 by the Government of Canada, is for community-based organizations who have seen demands for their services increase dramatically since the start of the pandemic.

Making the Shift Youth Homelessness Social Innovation targeted call for proposals

The Making the Shift (MtS) Youth Homelessness Social Innovation Lab released a targeted call for proposals addressing the implications of COVID-19 on youth homelessness prevention.

Proposed projects should generate knowledge that will inform MtS’s current response to the pandemic, the recovery phase, and the future of their response to youth homelessness, and in particular the necessity of making the shift to prevention.
