[homeles_ot-l] Federal election handouts for those living with homelessness

Attached are some of the federal election 2015 handouts developed by Making Votes Count Where We Live. These documents are especially for those living with homelessness, as it helps unpack where the parties stand on key issues and how to vote without identification. These handouts identify the Ottawa Centre and Ottawa Vanier main party candidates, as most housing support services and shelters are in those ridings, however the information other than the candidate names is universal. As well, there is a shorter version talking about the issues of affordable housing + poverty only. Please share them!

Making Votes Count Where We Live<http://www.makingvotescount.ca/making-votes-count-where-we-live> seeks to put in place tools that will increase the capacity of women leaders and community organizations in Ottawa to empower low income residents in raising their views within the electoral processes and on-going civic engagement. This Ottawa initiative is  co-sponsored  by the Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres and City for All Women Initiative (CAWI).

The Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres of Ottawa (CHRC)<http://www.coalitionottawa.ca/> is a network of multi-service, community-based health and resource centres, which recognizes the importance of responding to the diversity of needs within local communities and pays particular attention to those members of the community who are most vulnerable and at risk.

CAWI (City for All Women Initiative<http://www.cawi-ivtf.org/>) is a unique collaborative of women from diverse communities, organizations, and academia working with municipal decision makers to create a more inclusive city and promote gender equality.
